Built by someone who grew up in the fields
KhetiSaathi was built by Prashant Kumar — an engineer who grew up in a farming family in Uttar Pradesh. The idea didn't come from a market research report or a VC pitch meeting.
It came from watching his family make crop decisions based on what the neighbour said, lose harvests to diseases that could have been diagnosed early, and sell at the wrong price because nobody told them the mandi was paying more that week.
The farmer already has a smartphone. They're on WhatsApp every day. The gap isn't technology access — it's the right brain on the other end of the conversation, speaking their language.
KhetiSaathi is that brain. No app to install. No English to learn. Just a WhatsApp message in Hindi.
